Datum Tab
A new tab page for Chrome that puts the things you check every day in one place: your pinned tabs, your GitHub pull requests, today's Google Calendar events and your bookmarks.
What it does
- Pinned tabs, with a way homeThe URL a tab had when you pinned it is remembered as its origin. A pinned tab that has wandered off shows a mark; double-click or press Alt+Shift+H to send it back. Drag the chips to reorder.
- GitHub pull requestsOne list of the pull requests you are involved in, with CI and review state, a reason label for what needs action, and your own order. Stacked pull requests show their place in the stack (STACK 2/3).
- Today's Google CalendarThe event in progress or the next one with a Meet button, all-day events, and the day's list. Read-only access, today and tomorrow only.
- Bookmarks as tilesFolders and tiles with sharp favicons. Drag to reorder or move, drop a link to add, edit or delete in place.
- Search that goes to GoogleType to jump to a pinned tab, bookmark, pull request or open tab. Enter searches Google; arrow keys pick a candidate instead.
- Keyboard and right-click/ to search, j/k to walk the pull requests, m to join the next meeting, and a context menu on every item.
How to use it
- Install the extension and open a new tab. The pinned tabs and bookmarks you already have are there.
- Pull requests: sign in to github.com in the same Chrome profile (or paste a read-only token in the settings).
- Calendar: press Connect Google Calendar on the new tab page and allow read-only access to your calendars.
- Optional: allow the extension to read the sites you bookmarked, so it can fetch each site's own, sharper icon.
What the extension reads, where it keeps it and how to remove it is written in the privacy policy.
